По поводу квадрата расстояния - ошибся, признаю.
Тем не менее - рекомендую задуматься.
О чем? Мой оппонент (модератор астрофорума) приводил следующее значение плотности пылевой составляющей оболочки сверхновой от Алголя при подходе к Земле - 0.0002 г/м2. При скорости порядка 10 000 км/с это равноценно выделению энергии - 10 000 000 дж/м2. Напомню, что при взрыве 1 кг тротила выделяется всего 4 200 000 Дж. Я приводил гораздо менее кровожадную цифру.
К сожалению, не смог найти. Может, у вас получится?

А почему именно 15 тысяч лет назад?
Для поиска взорвавшейся звезды, я использовал идею голландского астронома Блаау, которую он выдвинул еще в середине прошлого века для объяснения парадокса звезд-беглецов. Это горячие, массивные звезды спектрального класса О или В, вылетевшие из звездных ассоциаций со скоростями достигающими 100 км/с. Обычно массивные горячие звезды образуют кратные системы, в то время, как звезды-беглецы являются одиночками.
Блаау предположил, что звезды-беглецы были компонентами двойных систем, одна из которых взорвалась, как сверхновая II типа
При этом сила притяжения не будет больше удерживать оставшуюся звезду на ее эллиптической орбите, и она уйдет по касательной к своей орбите, сохранив при этом орбитальную скорость.
Вокруг взорвавшейся звезды могли вращаться звезды спектральных классов М, К или G. В этом случае они должны разлетаться от места взрыва с огромными скоростями.
Поиск таких звезд производился с помощью программы AstroFis, в базе данных которой содержится около 120 000 звезд до 14 звездной величины.
Оказалось, что 15 000 лет назад на расстоянии меньше 1 парсека от Алголя (массивная звезда спектрального класса В8V - TYC2851-02168-1) находились сразу 3 звезды, причем две из них имели очень высокие скорости:
- Hipparcos 14137 (TYC2855-02023-1) - 0.622 пс, абс.зв.вел. - 7.4, 12 км/сек
- Hipparcos 14478 (TYC2851-01593-1) - 0.776 пс, абс.зв.вел. - 7.5, 80 км/сек, К6
- Hipparcos 16209 - 0.294 пс, абс.зв.вел. - 9.1, 250 км/сек, К4
Ближайшая к Солнцу звезда расположена на расстоянии почти в 5 раз большем, чем звезда Hipparcos 16209. Столь близкое расстояние от системы Алголя и, главное, необычайно высокая скорость разлетающихся звезд (80 и 250 км/сек) говорят о том, что 15000 лет тому назад одна из звезд, входивших в систему Алголя, взорвалась как сверхновая.
